PRESS RELEASE: Top Corporate Construction Industry Exec Joins AJS Construction as Vice President

NEW YORK CITY – Alex Santacroce, who managed construction projects on behalf of tenants as well as Capital projects in his role as Senior Project Manager for real estate giant SL Green, has joined AJS Construction as Vice President – Director of Construction. The announcement was made by AJS founding principal Robert Hohmann.

He is entrepreneurial in spirit, but also institutional in his methodology and reporting. He’s an excellent addition to the leadership team at AJS.”

AJS Construction, founded in 1997, is a skilled general contractor, building projects ranging from ground-up construction and historic restorations, to retail storefronts, corporate offices, showrooms, trading floors and all other modern interiors. With a team of nearly 50 professionals expert in all disciplines and phases of construction, AJS is best known for the construction of sophisticated corporate interiors. The company has recently completed projects for such clients as Coach, JP Morgan Chase and Fox News. At the same time, AJS undertakes major construction projects and historic restoration assignments on behalf of City and State agencies including the NYC Parks Department, the SCA and the DDC.

In his role as Vice President – Director of Constuction for AJS, Mr. Santacroce will oversee the execution of projects, managing the various teams and departments that contribute to each success.  With a team of nearly 50 professionals, AJS Construction specializes in sophisticated interiors and exterior projects throughout the Tri-State region.

Most recently, Mr. Santacroce served as Senior Project Manager at SL Green, overseeing construction and project management for the portfolio of nearly 8 million square feet of space representing more than 300 tenants.  In his tenure, he managed 780 corporate interiors and capital projects to the properties. Among his recent projects, Mr. Santacroce completed the buildout of a 50,000sq.ft. corporate headquarters and conference center – while simultaneously managing 103 distinct construction projects portfolio wide.

Mr. Santacroce has more than 35 years experience in construction. Prior to his tenure at SL Green, he served as a Senior Project Manager for ATCO Properties, and previously as a Project Manager for Chase Manhattan Bank. He began his career as principal of his own interior construction firm.

Mr. Santacroce has been recognized by numerous civic and professional organizations for his outstanding work. Honors include winning BOMA’s Renovated Building of the Year for his work at 485 Lexington Avenue on behalf of SL Green.
