Law Firm Relocates from Midtown to Downtown Manhattan

Midtown Manhattan law firm Morgan & Finnegan has signed a 100,000 sq. ft. lease at 3 World Financial Center. The lease gives the firm two full floors within 3 WFC, which is located directly across from Ground Zero. The new lease will be subsidized by a $1.5 million grant from the Job Creation and Retention Program, which was developed after 9/11 as a way to lure businesses to lower Manhattan.

"We are very pleased that we’ll soon be operating from lower Manhattan in such a magnificent complex as the World Financial Center. This is an important move for our firm," says John Sweeney, a partner at Morgan & Finnegan. A total of 200 Morgan & Finnegan employees will work in the new WFC space.

CB Richard Ellis represented the law firm in its negotiations with Brookfield Properties, which owns the World Financial Center complex.

Morgan & Finnegan formerly was located at 345 Park Avenue, which is owned by Rudin Management Co., a family-run real estate development company based in Manhattan. The Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Deutsche Bank, The Blackstone Group and KPMG LLP all lease space at the 1.8 million sq. ft. building. Morgan & Finnegan has leased space at 345 Park Avenue since 1969.
