For quite some time now, Dunkin' Donuts has been wanting to break out of its base in Northeastern United States, a move that would help it battle the omnipresent Starbucks. And Nation's Restaurant reports that Dunkin' executives finally have firm plans to enter Southern California by 2015.
NRN reports that Dunkin' opened a distribution center in Phoenix last fall and eventually wants to opearate as many as 1,000 locations in the region. The chain is currently looking for locally-based franchisees in, San Diego, San Bernardino and Orange County areas, hoping each of them could open from 10 to 15 new stores.
