WHIPPANY—Brookfield has completed an lobby renovation at 200 Convergence Way, which is part of its 650,000-sq.-ft., Convergence multi-tenant technology andcampus.
Designed by Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers Inc., the upgrades involved modernizing and expanding the lobby by 30 percent and opening up the two-story atrium. The two ground-floor office suites will now have direct access from the lobby, with an onsite management and aoffice.
“The site was originally constructed in the early 1990’s for Bear Stearns to use for administrative purposes. The lobby was designed for single-tenant use, and not up to headquarters quality for this area,” stated Michelle Berliner, vice president and head of asset management at Brookfield’s Real Estate Opportunity Group. “This renovation reflects the image we want to project of Convergence."
Convergence includes multiple-sized office units that can accommodate from 5,000 to 150,000 sq. ft. of contiguous office space. While the buildings and infrastructure designed to accommodate office and mission critical and high-density users, Convergence can also accommodate lab, medical, services, insurance, legal and disaster recovery uses.
Convergence is a five-building complex that has 37,500-sq.-ft. floor plates in 150,000-sq.-ft. freestanding buildings on a 67-acre landscaped setting. On-site amenities include a cafeteria, cafe, a fitness center, walking trails, picnic areas and abundant parking.
