NEW YORK—The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has signed a 200,000-sq.-ft. lease at Forest Hills Tower to serve as the agency’s New York City headquarters for the next several months. FEMA will use the space spanning 10 floors for its administrative offices and has an option for short-term lease extensions in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Ken Siegel, of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented building owner Muss Development. The United States General Services Administration, acting on behalf of FEMA, was represented by CBRE’s Mark Greenspan.

Located at 118-35 Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, Queens, the Class A property provides access to all five boroughs as well as to airports. In addition, the property is located nearby public transportation.
