NEW YORK—Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) has renewed its 44,010-sq.-ft. lease at 257 Park Ave. South, the Gramercy Park Building. Colliers’s Alan Desino, executive managing director, arranged the renewal working on behalf of the tenant, while the property owner, The Feil Organization, was represented in-house by Robert Fisher in the transaction.
EDF will continue to occupy the entire 16th, 17th and 18th floors at the, as well as additional space on the property’s 12th floor, for a 10-year term.
“EDF is dedicated to providing a first-class, environmentally friendly center of operations for its employees and its partners,” said Desino, who also said that EDF has been working closely with the building’s owner to ensure the transition to a natural gas heating system as part of the NYC Clean Heat program.
