NEW YORK— Robert Sammons has joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank at its New York City headquarters as head of research for the New York Tri-State region. Sammons will oversee NGKF's research platform, establish national standards and best practices, identify and publish reports and trends in the market, and manage the research staff in the New York Tri-State region.

Using data analysis as a vehicle for client retention as well as new business development, Sammons will share his insight on the New York real estate market through the media, as well as through publications, speaking engagements and conferences. Sammons is widely quoted in prominent media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Television and Radio, The New York Times, The Financial Times and The Commercial Observer, and is reputed for his monthly Manhattan reports and metro-wide quarterlies, as well as his white papers on real estate trends and issues, including the "New York Employment Barometer" and "Residential Boom Transforming Downtown."

Prior to joining NGKF, Sammons was the director of research at Cassidy Turley. Prior to Cassidy Turley, Sammons was with the New York City Economic Development Corp., where he assisted companies with location decisions, and introduced a quarterly market report on New York real estate and economic activity for clients.
