PALISADES, NY - Lightower has signed a long-term lease at PalisadesCenter, joining a major trading and investment firm on the roster of the region's newest high-density Tier 3 data center. Owner Skae Power Solutions, which also utilizes the facility as its headquarters, was represented by Sean Brady, senior director and co-founder of Cushman & Wakefield's Data Center Advisory Group, and Brian Walsh, both of the commercial real estate services firm's East Rutherford, N.J. office.
"Lightower, an all-fiber provider of high-capacity network services, chose PalisadesCenter because of its location on their Hudson River Crossing Fiber Network, which offers diversity and a shorter route relative to paths across the Tappan Zee Bridge, as well as the proven reliability of the facility's mission-critical infrastructure," said Brady. "Those were the deciding factors." The site offers multiple, diverse fiber routes and Hudson River crossings, effectively establishing low latency connections to major facilities like 111 Eighth Avenue, 165 Halsey Street, and other critical facilities in the region.

"DC-4 increases the capacity considerably and allows us to provide customizable turnkey solutions for our tenants' needs. Located near the New York State Thruway and Palisades Interstate Parkway, Palisades Data Center is just 20 miles from midtown Manhattan and 30 miles from Newark, N.J. The facility, featuring a Tier 3+, includes data center and disaster recovery space, and office space designated as business continuity space supported by a network operating center featuring remote monitoring services. The entire facility offers emergency power, multiple redundant fiber paths and card access. The remaining space is available for immediate occupancy, and the landlord will build to suit.
