River Drive Construction, a leading New Jersey-based construction company, today announced that it has completed two tenant fit-outs, totaling 63,594 square feet, at 125 Broad Street, a Class A office tower in Downtown Manhattan.

River Drive completed the following projects on behalf of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, which owns nearly half of the 1.3-million-square-foot building:

  • The fit-out of 41,594 square foot space on the second and third floors that will be occupied by Institute for Community Living, Inc., a non-for-profit corporation that assists individuals with disabilities. Designed by Gener Kronick + Valcarel, Architects, PC and engineered by Syska Hennessy Group, the fit-out entailed the construction of drywall, ceilings, lighting, HVAC, millwork, sprinklers, plumbing, ceramic tile and flooring.
  • The fit-out of a 22,000 square foot space that will be occupied by security brokerage firm Loeb Holding Corporation. Designed by Spector Group and engineered by MGE Engineering, the fit-out entailed the demolition of existing offices and the construction of new offices with features including glass office fronts, wood flooring in the reception and gallery areas, broadloom carpeting and new window treatments.

Project Manager Gary Suber oversaw the River Drive team that served as general contractor for both projects.

“Mack-Cali is dedicated to building out great spaces for its tenants, and 125 Broad Street is one of the most prestigious addresses in New York City,” stated Joseph Langan, president of River Drive Construction. “We’re happy to be able to complete both fit-outs on time and within budget. We expect that Institute for Community Living and Loeb Holding Corporation will be extremely pleased with their new offices.”

Situated at the entrance to FDR Drive, 125 Broad Street is located near various dining, shopping and entertainment options. Tenants benefit from easy access to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Holland Tunnel. In addition, the tower's location offers access to numerous transportation options, including subway, bus, ferry and helicopter.
