The objective of the Hershey’s Chocolate World renovation project was to draw in more visitors, immerse them in the Kisses brand experience and expose them to the entire Kisses flavor assortment. The new design emphasizes the Kisses experience with bright sparkle and shine that is consistent with the Kisses foil wrapping. Upon entering the store, guests see customized Kiss-shaped displays with over-scaled versions of the Kiss plumes displaying brand messages. Throughout the space, the design team incorporated Kiss-shaped fixtures, mirrored-acrylic chandeliers and swirled carpeting. An entire wall features Kisses flavors from around the world, each adding colorful wrappers and packaging to the brightly colored space.
The design team also tried to create an immersive experience that allowed guests to interact with their favorite chocolate treats. The store now features the world’s only Hershey’s Kisses Chocolate Dispenser, an over-the-top machine that offers a personalized mix of Kisses flavors. The centerpiece of the interactive experience, however, is a large video board. Visitors can interact with the wall, learning about Hershey’s Kisses and creating personalized gifts with the swipe of their hand. At touch screen monitors, they can even share their experiences with family and friends by sending Kisses messages electronically.
