Bay Travelgear Inc. signs 650,000 sq. ft. lease in Chicago-area warehouse

The industrial-leasing activity in metro Chicago has heated up with Bay Travelgear Inc.’s 650,000 sq. ft. lease of a warehouse facility in Aurora, Ill. The property was developed by Opus North in 1998 and formerly occupied by Kellog’s USA Inc.

Chicago-based Bay Travelgear, which assembles and distributes coolers and travel-related items, is scheduled to occupy the warehouse this fall for the consolidation of its operations. Travelgear was represented by Michael Svoboda, Hank Cox and Larry Johnson of CB Richard Ellis Inc. and Kellog’s, which had a portion of the term remaining on its lease, was represented by Champion Realty Advisors.
