Specialty Grocer To Build Distribution Center Near Atlanta
Lincoln Property Co. and its partner, The Providence Group of the Carolinas, have secured 80 acres in Jefferson, Ga., for specialty grocer Aldi’s 450,000 sq. ft. Atlanta distribution center.
After an 18-month search, Aldi acquired the land from a local partnership, Exit 140 LLC. Aldi’s corporate real estate division will develop the property and construction is scheduled to begin next summer. Located near Interstate 85 in the northeast submarket, Aldi’s distribution center will support 58 stores in metro Atlanta once the company completes its Atlanta roll-out.
