Paric Corp. breaks ground on $60 million retirement community

Paric Corp., based in O’Fallon, Mo., has started construction on The Willows at Brooking Park, a $60 million luxury retirement community in Chesterfield, Mo. Phase one of the project — expected to open in mid-2003 — will include two buildings with 45 luxury apartment homes and underground parking. The project ultimately will include eight buildings with a total of 180 multifamily units that range from 1,070 sq. ft. to 2,645 sq. ft. in one- and two-bedroom plans.

St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, a nonprofit, faith-based organization, is developing the project, which is designed as an English village and gardens. A main-level commons area will feature a formal dining room, café and club room, boutique, beauty salon and barber shop. Recreational facilities include an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center and spa.

The Willows is the eighth senior retirement community constructed by Paric in the metro St. Louis area in the past five years. Previous projects include Cape Albeon in southwest St. Louis County, Sunrise Assisted Living in Chesterfield, Hallmark of Creve Coeur in Creve Coeur, Meramec Bluffs near Valley Park, Richmond Terrace in Richmond Heights and Westminster Place and Mary Ryder Home, both in St. Louis.
