Columbus trophy tower goes for $40 million
Northbrook, Ill.-based Arthur Goldner & Associates has purchased the National City Plaza office tower in Columbus, Ohio, for $40 million. The 487,898 sq. ft. tower is home to National City Bank, Deloitte & Touche, Glimcher Realty Trust, Roetzel & Andress and OHIC Insurance Co. The seller was a midwest pension fund.
"This property fits our acquisition goals perfectly," said Arthur Goldner, president of Arthur Goldner & Associates, in a statement. "It is a prominent property with excellent long-term tenants in place. It is exceptionally well-located in Columbus’ central business district. And lastly, we have upside in the investment as the local economy improves and we are able to lease additional space."
The firm also plans to renovate the 24-story tower, located across the street from the state capital.
