Construction begins on $45 million Philadelphia retail center

Construction is under way on an 800,000 sq. ft. retail center in Exton, Pa., owned and developed by Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based Wolfson-Verrichia Group Inc. Main Street at Exton will be a $45 million complex anchored by national retailers Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Pier I Imports, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Eastern Mountain Sports.

The complex, located on a 150-acre site about 40 miles west of Philadelphia, is being built on a former brownfield.

Jeffrey M. Brown Associates (JMB) is managing the construction of the project. Other projects by JMB include the 600,000 sq. ft. Harborside Plaza 10 in Jersey City, N.J.; the 260,000 sq. ft. Tiffany & Co. customer fulfillment center in Hanover, N.J.; and the 160,000 sq. ft. FedEx City Station in New York City.
