Skills: underwriting and marketing

Career Summary:

I like to think of myself as a financier; I and am the one who discusses availability of financing or funding and the one who conveys that the request has been granted. Whether it be investors buying an office building, a refinance of an apartment complex or financing for a special needs facility; whatever the type of financing, I treasure being involved with getting it accomplished. I am very appreciative to have a top lending position with one of the nation's most respected commercial financing companies and am proud to be the Director of Johnson Capital's Sacramento Branch Office. Through Johnson Capital I generate and arrange loans on various types of income properties nationwide. My involvement contributing my skills in public service, especially as it applies to real estate, developed while I was employed in the lending industry: Since 1999 I have been a California registered Lobbyist with my own lobbying company; Tobe Advocates. My area of concentration has always been legislation regarding multifamily housing and apartment complexes. My primary client is Apartment Advocates. For over fifteen years I was on the Loan Committee of the Sacrament Housing and Redevelopment Agency. Often I was a Committee Member but more often I was Chairperson of the Committee. In this capacity I was involved with developing, implimenting and servicing loan programs for aggressively financing construction, renovation and acquisition of multifamily residential complexes primarily to address the needs of lower income and special needs residents. For over eight years I was a Board Member and Chairman of the Board for Sacrament Heritage Inc. Heritage Inc. is a Sacramento City corporation that directly and indirectly renovated residential and commercial properties the City deemed significant. Within this capacity I helped develop and then oversaw a renovation lending and grant program primarily for Victorian era homes, apartments and commercial buildings. Specialties:I personally inspected and photographed the commercial, apartment, mobile home park and senior care complexes I handled financing for; it was hundreds. I have expertise in site layouts, floor plans, amenities and marketability. I was the highest producer of mobile home park loans for Home Savings. Mobile home parks remain a strong interest of mine. I consider mobile/modular home park residences a good housing option especially for seniors.
