Want more proof that Sears is not going to be around that much longer? According to the New York Post, chairman Eddie Lampert is reportedly looking to sell the company's Lands' End catalog division to private equity buyers. Lands' End is one of Sears Holdings' better performing channels, although as the Post notes, it hasn't seen much growth while under Sears' management.
The move comes after the company announced plans to close 120 underperforming Sears and Kmart stores, after it decided to split off some of its businesses, and after it brought in a new head of real estate to help with, among other things, strategic store sales.
How long do you think Sears will last?
