VICTORVILLE, CA—Newell Rubbermaid has agreed to a 10-year lease extension and expansion at Southern California Logistics Centre here, part of the 2,500-acre Global Access Victorville business park.
Stirling Capital Investments has completed construction of a 176,800-sq.ft. expansion of the center to accommodate the increased nationwide distribution needs of Rubbermaid, which has been in the building since 2007. The facility expanded from 407,612 sq. ft. to 584,412 sq. ft. via pre-designed knockout panels for optimized distribution. The building’s features include energy efficient T5HO warehouse lighting with motion sensors, abundant natural daylighting from skylights, cross-dock design, 32-foot clear height, ESFR fire protection, secured full concrete truck courts and ample power.
“This is a win for our city and is indicative of the continued benefits of our long term public/private partnership with Stirling and the economic drivers we have been able to establish,” said Victorville Mayor Jim Cox in a statement. “Our partnership in the development of SCLA has resulted in key economic benefits for the City and its residents and businesses.”
