McDonald's Corp. in July entered into a partnership with Wanda Group to open drive-through-equipped locations in shopping malls and strip centers in China. The two firms will open 120 units during the next two years. McDonald's in June signed a similar deal with Chinese oil giant Sinopec. Sinopec operates 30,000 gas stations throughout China. McDonald's is aiming to add about 100 stores a year in the nation. It currently has 750 locations. McDonald's is facing tough competition in China from KFC, which operates 1,900 outlets throughout the country.
