CHICAGO'S GOLUB & CO. AND INTERCONTINENTAL REAL ESTATE CORP. of Boston entered into a joint venture to purchase Meadows Corporate Center in Rolling Meadows, Ill., a Chicago suburb, from the Government of Singapore. The 550,000 sq. ft. office complex and its two 10-story towers were 85% occupied at the time of sale. Tenants include Ameriquest Mortgage Corp., Sony USA and DePaul University. The 34-acre site includes walking paths, ponds, views of downtown Chicago, and on-site amenities such as delis, an ATM, a fitness center, and a 200-seat auditorium.
LINCOLN PROPERTY CO. of Dallas has acquired the Overlook III office building in Atlanta's Northwest Vinings submarket for $56.5 million. The 23-story, 437,000 sq. ft. Class-A property is currently 66% occupied with 140,000 sq. ft. available for lease. Lincoln plans to update the building's common areas and add to existing amenities. Overlook III currently houses The Vinings Club, a full-service health club and restaurant, as well as a newsstand, florist and other retail. Additionally, the property sits atop Atlanta's highest point inside the I-285 perimeter, overlooking downtown.
