LaSalle Partners Robert F. Welanetz has been appointed president and CEO of Chicago-based LaSalle Partners Inc.'s new retail group. Based in Atlanta, Welanetz will be responsible for LaSalle Partners' 36 million sq. ft. retail portfolio created through the October 1998 merger of Lend Lease Retail with the existing retail management and leasing business of LaSalle Partners. Previously, Welanetz was executive vice president of Lend Lease Real Estate Investment Services.
United Commercial Realty Jack H. Breard III has been promoted to vice president of Dallas-based United Commercial Realty (UCR) from broker/associate. Breard will continue to handle project leasing, high-end specialty tenants and tenant representation for the firm.
Bath & Body Works Ken Montera has been appointed executive vice president and national sales manager of Columbus, Ohio-based Bath & Body Works, a division of Intimate Brands Inc. He will be responsible for leading the selling and service functions, as well as developing strategies pertaining to store operations. Montera previously served as vice president of operations for Kentucky Fried Chicken.
In addition, Jeanne St. Pierre has been appointed zone vice president. She will serve as liaison between the home office and stores with regard to merchandising, selling and customer service matters. Previously, St. Pierre was a regional vice president with Ann Taylor.
Welsh Cos. Jeff Hegg has been appointed vice president of Minneapolis-based Welsh Cos.' property management division. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the division, including overseeing management, strategic planning and financial supervision. Most recently, Hegg was director of property management for Naples, Fla.-based Welsh Cos., S.E., Inc.
In addition, Steven Everett has joined the company as an assistant property manager. He will assist senior property managers with commercial properties as well as manage a portfolio of commercial buildings. Previously, Everett managed a residential property for Minneapolis-based SAGE Co.
Equity One Inc. Alan Merkur has been appointed director of acquisitions of North Miami Beach, Fla.-based Equity One Inc. Previously, Merkur served as president of Dartmouth Realty Group, a Florida-based commercial brokerage firm. He has 27 years of experience in various facets of real estate, including portfoliomanagement and lending.
CBL & Associates Properties Inc. John N. Foy has been p romoted to vice chairman of the board and treasurer, and Stephen D. Lebovitz has been promoted to president of Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CBL & Associates Properties Inc. Foy, one of the original founders of the company in 1978, has served CBL in various capacities. He will retain his position as director and CFO. Lebovitz, who has been with the company since 1988, will retain his position as director. He was instrumental in the formation and direction of CBL's New England office. Previously, he served the firm as executive vice president of development and acquisitions.
Norwalk - The Furniture Idea Mike Kenney has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president of retail at Norwalk, Ohio-based Norwalk - The Furniture Idea. He will be responsible for all company-owned stores and field operations for all franchisees. Previously, Kenney served as general manager of the franchise's company-owned stores in Memphis, Tenn.; Birmingham, Ala.; Atlanta; and Lenexa, Kan.
Weingarten Realty Investors Johnny Hendrix has been promoted to senior vice president/director of asset management of Houston-based Weingarten Realty Investors from vice president/associate director of leasing. He will be responsible for the asset management of all retail properties. Steve Weingarten has been promoted to senior vice president/director of leasing from vice president/associate director of leasing. He will be responsible for all retail leasing for the company's 179 shopping centers.
CB Richard Ellis Christine Jacobs has been promoted to the position of vice president of Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis. She is based in the firm's Riverside, Calif., office, where she represents retailers in the acquisition and disposition of sites. She also leases and markets shopping centers in the Inland Empire. Jacobs has handled transactions totaling $130 million during the past four years as a retail specialist with the company.
Frankel's Home Furnishings Inc. Anthony Viccora has been appointed vice president of real estate at Port Washington, N.Y.-based Frankel Home Furnishings Inc. He will be responsible for the real estate dealings of Frankel's specialty store division, as well as store planning for all Frankel's divisions. Previously, Viccora served the company as regional director of its specialty store division.
