LandAmerica purchases Primis Internet operation

LandAmerica OneStop, a subsidiary of Richmond, Va.-based LandAmerica Financial Group Inc., has acquired Primis Inc., a provider of Web-based real estate services. At press-time, LandAmerica OneStop was in the process of finalizing the acquisition, which will fold Primis into the company's operations, which include title and real estate-related services aimed at lenders, builders and real estate agents.

With the merger, LandAmerica OneStop will provide transaction management and appraisal services via the Primus e-commerce platform. LandAmerica OneStop will be based at the Primis Atlanta headquarters.
