For 70 years on the funny pages, Dagwood Bumstead has been eating giant, stuffed sandwiches. Those are finally becoming a reality. A new chain, Dagwood Sandwich Shoppes LLC, will open its first location at the Coral Landing Shopping Center in Palm Harbor, Fla. It has 356 franchise sites lined up with two stores opening a week throughout 2007.
