David Montross has been promoted to CEO of Equis Corp., a real estate transaction advisory and portfolio management consulting firm. He will oversee corporate clients whose global real estate portfolios total more than 800 million sq. ft. and will assume full responsibility for all aspects of the company. He previously served as COO of Equis.
Jordan Barowitz has joined the Durst Organization, a privately owned real estate firm, as director of external affairs. He will oversee government relations, communications and corporate giving for the company and serve as a liaison between the Durst Organization and New York's communities.
Clyde Higgs has joined North Carolina Research Center as vice president of business development. He will oversee NCRC's $100 million venture capital fund and work with companies interested in locating on the campus. NCRC is a rising biotechnology hub in a live-work-play campus environment.
Merrie Frankel has been appointed chair of Urban Land Institute's New York District Council. She will oversee the expansion of community service outreach and affordable housing initiatives. Previously, Frankel served as ULI New York's assistant chair and vice chair of the education committee.
