Toronto-based TrizecHahn Corp. recently formed a new division, TrizecHahn Development Co., to direct the firm's domestic and international real estate development projects. The new company, based in San Diego, will execute development projects in North America, identify new development opportunities and coordinate international development activities.
Taking over as president of TrizecHahn Development is Lee H. Wagman, former president of TrizecHahn Centers, which owns and operates the company's portfolio of superregional shopping centers. TrizecHahn Centers will be led by Joe Larsen as president and chief operating officer.
The Mills Corp., Arlington, Va., will enter a joint venture with New York City-based Ogden Corp., whose Ogden Entertainment division provides food and beverage services and manages arenas, stadiums and other recreational facilities. The new, equal-ownership venture will master lease and operate all new and existing (as they become available) food courts, pushcarts and kiosks at Mills' properties, non-Mills retail properties, and the food and retail at airports where Ogden does or will operate. The joint venture also will create, develop, operate and invest in new food court, restaurant, cart and kiosk concepts at these venues.
