Atlanta-based Post Properties Inc. has begun construction of Post Biltmore, a $35 million, 271-unit apartment complex in Atlanta's Midtown neighborhood. Occupancy of the first units will begin in fourth-quarter 2001, and completion of the entire project is slated for third-quarter 2002. The complex will be adjacent to the historic Biltmore Hotel, which has recently been restored as Class-A office space and condominiums.
Post Biltmore will feature loft-style units, and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Amenities will include a courtyard, a rooftop terrace, a fitness center and hardwood floors. The complex will be within walking distance of Georgia Tech's business school campus, as well as numerous restaurants and retail outlets.
