Retail Traffic conducted an (admittedly unscientific) study comparing the two venues. Ordering the same items at both places — a cheeseburger, a salmon burger, a veggie burger and four cupcakes — yielded somewhat different results. Both the burgers and cupcakes from the original location on Ninth Avenue were smaller than their downtown cohorts. But the larger entrants from 23rd Street also cost more, with the order ringing in at $39.72 vs. $29.10 for the uptown food. As for flavor? A taste test at our office found that most preferred the downtown location's larger burgers and cupcakes. But the offerings from both menus were pretty darned tasty.
