Alpharetta, Ga.-based Highlands Residential has broken ground on The Highlands on Ponce, a 296-unit apartment complex in Atlanta's Midtown neighborhood that will also feature 9,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Completion is slated for late-summer 2001. The property will be marketed toward the "young hi-tech professional demographic," according to Highlands Residential.
The complex will feature a mix of luxury apartments and lofts. The units will feature hardwood floors and stainless steel light fixtures. Ceiling heights will vary from 9 ft. to 18 ft. One-, two- and three-bedroom units will be offered, and rents will range from $850 per month to $3,600 per month. Amenities will include a car wash, swimming pool, cyber cafe and fitness center.
