Plans for a new $100 million outpatient center would now include three floors of inpatient rooms at the University of Maryland Medical Center's Midtown Campus, architects showed a city design panel Thursday. The university's Midtown medical campus — located at the former Maryland General Hospital site near State Center— has been undergoing a renewal and expansion, which led to long-standing plans for an ambulatory care or outpatient center.
