CINCINNATI—The Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati hosted a controlled demonstration Wednesday night in preparation for the opening on March 4.
The purpose of the eight-hour preview, which is required by the Ohio Casino Control Commission, was to demonstrate the operational readiness of Horseshoe Cincinnati team members, according to the company. Attendees were able to try luck at more than 2,000 slot machines and 85 table games, with gaming proceeds from the night being donated to four local non-profit charities.
Rock Gaming LLC and Caesars Entertainment Corporation are developing the $400 million full-service casino in downtown Cincinnati. The development will include three outward facing restaurants to engage pedestrians and support existing businesses, cultural, nightlife and sports attractions downtown. Horseshoe Cincinnati is expected to attract an estimated six million visits to downtown annually.
