JOPLIN, MO.—Heartland Pet Products’ Blue Buffalo Company has broken ground on a new Joplin, Mo. manufacturing and distribution center, which is expected to create up to 150 new manufacturing jobs.
Slated to contain 400,000 sq. ft., the facility is a major capital investment by the pet food manufacturer. The company could be eligible for a strategic economic incentive package from the state of Missouri if it meets the anticipated job creation and investment criteria.
The Blue Buffalo Company, located in Wilton, Conn., provides holistic foods and treats for dogs and cats.
