SOLSBERRY, IND.—The Yoho General Store, a Solsberry historic landmark, is slated to reopen this fall after being renovated by its new owner, CFC Properties, which purchased the property in May.
“The Yoho General Store has been a staple in Solsberry for decades,” said Jim Murphy, president of CFC Properties. “For many families, getting ice cream at the Yoho Store was a beloved pastime. We hope to preserve that custom for years to come.”
The store is traditionally a place that serves the community’s basic needs with groceries, a deli, and a side of unique atmosphere.
CFC Properties has plans to refurbish the store’s interior while keeping certain amenities, including a wood-burning stove. The company also plans to sell unleaded gas and on-road diesel.
Restoring the Yoho store will create jobs both during the construction phase as well as for operations when upon opening for business.
