CHICAGO—The Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) has selected The Missner Group to construct a new, three-story, 41,000-sq.-ft. medical office building in Chicago.
Glen Missner is the project executive overseeing the project, Drue Stoehr is the project manager and George Bellock will serve as the site superintendent. GlenStar Properties is the developer and Stephen Rankin & Associates is providing the architectural services.
Located at 2923 N. California Ave., an existing industrial warehouse will be demolished by The Missner Group to clear the site for the new three-story healthcare facility. Construction is scheduled to begin this month with completion slated for the summer of 2013.
Upon delivery, the new medical office building will include covered parking as well as steel and masonry construction. The building will include private offices; meeting and conference rooms; medical exam rooms; an MRI, CT scanning and X-ray suites; and medical storage space for IBJI.
This is the third location for IBJI for which The Missner Group was selected as the design/builder.
IBJI has more than 20 locations and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
