SOUTH BARRINGTON, IL—A partnership of the LaSalle Group and Silverado Interest plans to build a memory care facility here at 215 Bartlett Road for $11.1 million.
The Autumn Leaves of South Barrington facility will exclusively care for residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory impairment. “We are excited about bringing our services to South Barrington,” said Brenda Brantley, CFO with the Ivring, Texas-based LaSalle. “We want to help as many people as possible, and we will continue to look for opportunities to grow and make a difference in people’s lives.”
She said the design team will use the most recent Alzheimer’s and dementia research to choose every detail. The community will also have aquariums in the dining rooms, which according to scientific research, will create a calming effect and increase appetites—priorities for families living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The residents will have access to the entire building and the outdoor courtyards.
“We believe in keeping our residents active and engaged. They have access to our entire building and the outdoor courtyards,” said Chad Anderson, president, Constant Care Family Management. “We are memory care experts, and we know how to design a community that meets the needs of our residents.”
