ANN ARBOR, MI—McKinley Inc., based here, has partnered with Irvine, Calif.-based Avanath Capital Management to launch a new property management firm.
“Mckinley-Avanath” will manage sites acquired by Avanath for its various investment platforms, as well as assets owned by institutional partners and clients. The venture recently commenced with the management of two multi-family properties in the Midwest: Gladden Farms, a 220-unit community near Indianapolis and Country Wood, a 180-unit, affordable community in Naperville, Ill.
Albert Berriz, CEO of McKinley, says the partnership’s alignment has worked like magic. "Daryl (Carter, Avanath CEO) and I have known each other for over 30 years. The skills and expertise our teams bring to the table are very complimentary," Berriz says in a statement.
