SCHAUMBURG, ILL.—Rabine Group, a service provider for paving, roofing, petroleum distribution and other construction needs, has opened its new, 18,000-sq.-ft. headquarters building at 900 National Parkway in Schaumburg. The property is LEED-certified.
Situated within a 100,000-sq.-ft. Class A office building in Schaumburg, Rabine Group has completed its space to serve as a showcase for the firm’s companies, including The Rabine Quality and Innovation Center and the Rabine Academy, among others.
The company included an in-house auditorium in its plans for its new space where educational workshops will be held. In addition, a Pavement Design Center and Roofing Design Center were completed.
The LEED-certified property includes a 200-stall parking lot, featuring pervious concrete, porous asphalt, stamped concrete and asphalt, full-depth concrete and asphalt and UltraLot Whitetopping.
The Roofing Design Center is comprised of 15 different roof types geared toward educating clients of the advantages of energy efficiency and renewable energy generation.
The solar roof features 294 Monocrystalline panels and individual micro inverters. The 69.09 kW rooftop solar photovoltaic system produces 76,000 kWh of energy annually and is expected to offset 5 percent of the total building’s energy consumption.
