Reed Construction Tapped for Medical Lab in New Lenox

CHICAGO—Reed Construction has been awarded the construction assignment for the construction of a new Angio Neuro Bi-Plane Lab for Silver Cross and Cadence Health at 1900 Silver Cross Blvd. in New Lenox.

Reed Construction will build the shell lab space and adjacent areas for a new doctor group. Senior Project Manager Brian Courtney will lead the construction efforts with RTKL Associates providing the architectural services. RLB Garrison is the owner’s representative.

The new lab will be equipped with dual C-arms and tools that assist doctors in performing delicate neurological and cardiac procedures without open surgery.

Among the machinery is an anesthesia boom, a moveable ceiling mounted support system that provides medical gases, vacuum and electrical outlets to the OR suite.

Silver Cross Hospital is a not-for-profit health care provider serving Will County and southwest suburban communities since 1895. Silver Cross has been recognized as a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals National Award winner for the last five years. With more than 2,500 employees, physicians and volunteers, Silver Cross operates a 304-bed acute care hospital and eight satellite facilities providing outpatient services and physician offices.
