SCHAUMBURG, IL—Shorewood Development Group and a conglomeration of private investors have purchased and continue to develop the new Meacham Gatherings retail center at 900 N. Meacham.
Allen Joffe, principal and managing broker with Baum Realty Group, represented Shorewood in both the acquisition and leasing of the 3.33-acre land site, which neighbors Woodfield Shopping Center. Acquisition of the land site, previously home to the Alliance for Audited Media and the Audit Bureau of Circulations, was completed recently. Meacham Gatherings will be home to approximately 19,000 square feet of new construction retail space when delivered in July.
Joffe says that Meacham Gatherings is currently 75% leased, though negotiations are underway for the remaining spaces. Confirmed tenants include On the Border, Potbelly, Protein Bar, and Roti. “The healthier choices appeal to both the daytime and residential populations in the surrounding area,” he says.” This will be only the second Protein Bar location outside the city, and the first drive-thru Potbelly location in Schaumburg. The placement of Roti follows the natural progression of their suburban expansion.”
