ELYSIA RAGUSA has been named president and COO of The Staubach Co., a Dallas-based real estate advisory firm. A 14-year veteran of the company, Ragusa was promoted from the position of president of the Southwest corporate services region. She will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm, and will continue to chair the company's executive and operating committees.
CHRIS MAGUIRE, the president of retail services for Dallas-based The Staubach Co., has been named to the company's board of directors. Maguire, who helped grow the company's retail division, previously worked at two retail and development brokerage companies in Dallas, where he was responsible for shopping center leasing and retail tenant representation.
DICK POLADIAN has joined Lowe Enterprises, a Los Angeles-based development and management firm, as CFO and chief administrator. Poladian, who previously worked for 28 years at Arthur Andersen as a managing partner, will oversee accounting and reporting nationwide for Lowe's. He also will direct the company's human resources, risk management, information systems and legal services activities.
LELAND SWARTZ has been named CFO of O'Fallon, Mo.-based McEagle Development. In his new position, he will be responsible for financial reporting and compliance, evaluating prospective properties' economic potential and liaison with lending institutions. Swartz joined McEagle in 2001 as controller and most recently served as CFO and controller for real estate concerns in North America and Europe.
DANIEL DEMARCO has been named the 2003 national chairman for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). DeMarco joined the Washington, D.C.-based industry association in 1991 and has held positions as national vice chair for both the Education and Government Affairs committees. DeMarco is a partner with Campanelli Cos. in Braintree, Mass.
DAVID ARENA has joined Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle as managing director and chief strategy officer of global client services in the firm's New York office. Arena will be responsible for developing and expanding global alliances with New York-based corporations. Arena was formerly managing director of corporate real estate for Morgan Stanley.
RICHARD PODOS has joined the New York office of real estate advisory firm CRESA Partners as senior vice president. Podos previously has held management positions at two commercial real estate technology ventures, NetStruxr and RealityIQ.com. He also has held positions with Equis Corp., Cushman Realty and Grubb & Ellis.
NELSON KRAMER has returned to the industrial brokerage services group of Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis as vice president. Kramer served as a sales associate for 10 years in the group before joining Northside Commercial Real Estate Services as vice president and general manager. His responsibilities will include tenant representation and asset-leasing services.
