NEW JERSEY—The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. has added 21,000 sq. ft. of space to its existing space at Harborside Financial Center Plaza 3 in Jersey City. The additional space brings the tenant to 283,000 sq. ft. The Bank of Tokyo was represented by Curtis Foster of Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford, N.J. office, and Fred Smith and James Hewlette of the firm’s New York-Midtown office.
“This expansion was a response to additional growth by The Bank of Tokyo that is project-driven,” said Foster of the five-year lease with a five-year renewal option. “The Bank has a specific project they are working on now that required them to take this additional space.”
Part of Mack-Cali Realty Corp.’s 3.1 million-sq.-ft. Harborside Financial Center, Plaza 3 includes five office towers, retail space, hotel, planned multifamily residential space and additional sites for development.
