BRIDGEWATER—John J. Eagan, a member of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus P.A., has been named Chair of the newly formed International Taxation Sub-Committee of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
The Taxation Law Section studies and disseminates information on developments in tax law and provides a forum for discussion of tax policy issues by professionals and elected/appointed officials. The New Jersey State Bar Association serves, protects, fosters and promotes the personal and professional interests of its members, serving as the voice of New Jersey attorneys. It fosters professionalism in the profession and the NJSBA, and provides educational opportunities to New Jersey attorneys to enhance the quality of legal services and the practice of law.
Eagan, a resident of Jersey City, specializes in taxation, with emphasis on international, corporate transactional, and tax controversy matters.
Eagan earned his B.A., cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University in 1976; his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1979; and his LL.M., in Taxation, from New York University School of Law in 1983.
