HACKENSACK—NAI Hanson Vice Presidents Jeffrey W. DeMagistris and Thomas A. Vetter have completed three industrial transactions in Bergen County.
DeMagistris and Vetter represented the landlord, R.J. Purcell Associates Inc. in a lease expansion at 472 Barell Avenue in Carlstadt, where bottle manufacturer, Paradigm Packaging, signed on to occupy 39,832 sq. ft. The site features 5,188 sq. ft. of office space, a 21-ft. ceiling height with three tailgates, two drive-ins and 50 parking spaces.
The team represented Hampshire Cos., the landlord, in a long-term, 20,479-sq.-ft. lease at 205 Chubb Avenue in Lyndhurst, a 148,338-sq.-ft. facility. The new tenant, BNT Furniture USA, which does business under the Soho Concepts brand, relocated from Piscataway in order to be closer to New York City. The site has 3,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 22-ft. ceiling height, two tailgates and ample parking. John Vzen of Realty Hub represented the tenant.
DeMagistris and Vetter represented The Hampshire Companies in the sale of 95 Zabriskie Street in Hackensack. The 12,000-sq.-ft. building was sold to Brookside Auto Body, a local auto repair company that is expanding.
"There is an increased demand for smaller industrial properties, particularly in Northern New Jersey," DeMagistris stated. "It's also a good sign for the economy that companies believe now is a good time to expand on their operations."
