MARLTON, NJ—The New Jersey Transit Corp. (NJ Transit) has tapped Marlton, N.J.-based Hill International to provide construction management services on a task-order basis for a three-year term. The contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $3.5 million.
Because workload on NJ Transit increases and decreases in response to needs and available funding, the organization needed consulting services in planning and engineering, which allows it to contain costs and meet maximum workloads. Using contractors also provides NJ Transit with greater control of work being performed.
Hill is one of six firms that were awarded task order contracts for construction management services under this procurement.
"We look forward to continuing to support NJ Transit's capital construction program," said Michael V. Griffin, senior vice president and Mid-Atlantic regional manager for Hill's Project Management Group.
