NEW JERSEY—Panasonic Corporation of North America has broken ground on its new technology center, a 48,500-sq.-ft. facility located in Harrison that will include space for Panasonic’s engineering offices, lab and various testing facilities.
Being developed by Advance Realty, the center is situated adjacent to the Red Bull Arena and is located with Advance’s Riverbend District.
Occupancy for the Panasonic Corporation of North America Technology Center is slated for the summer of 2013.
"Panasonic is pleased to be on track to take advantage of all the flexible technical capabilities the planned Harrison Technology Center will offer us,” said Mike Riccio, Panasonic Corporation of North America controller and vice president, finance. “With a new headquarters already being developed at Two Riverfront Plaza in Newark, and now this Technology Center under construction in Harrison, we expect to be able to smoothly transition all of our operations from Secaucus by summer.”
The Riverbend District is a transit-oriented community that offers close proximity to public transportation including NJ Transit, Amtrak and an onsite PATH Station.
