NEW JERSEY—River Drive Construction completed a $3.6 million construction project for the Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI) Lakewood Health Center. The project, located at 101 Second Street in Lakewood, includes a two-story, 16,000-sq.-ft. facility, which was constructed on top of OHI’s existing 9,000-sq.-ft. building.
The new space houses an 8,000-sq.-ft. obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics wing that includes 20 examination rooms and an administrative area.
OHI received $4.7 million in funding as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act's Facility Investment Program. OHI was one of only four healthcare centers in New Jersey to receive federal funding from this program.
Ocean Health Initiatives, which has two other sites in Ocean County, provides affordable primary, dental, pediatric and obstetrics/gynecology medical care, as well as social services to address a range of patient needs.
