Village at St. Peter Provides Affordable Housing for Pleasantville Seniors

NEW JERSEY—The Village at St. Peter’s senior housing facility based in Pleasantville is open for business. The six-story, 80,000-sq.-ft. complex is located at 21 W. Black Horse Pike and offers affordable housing to senior citizens. A project of the Diocese of Camden Housing Services (DCHS), Village at St. Peter’s includes 74 one-bedroom units, public space and administrative offices.

Apartment units are approximately 540 sq. ft. and can house one or two residents. The building offers a secure entrance and easy access to shopping and transportation.

Del-Sano Contracting Corporation, a general contracting, design/build and construction management services firm, today announced its participation in the ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 24 for the Village at St. Peter's senior-housing facility. This six-story high-rise, 80,000 square foot affordable housing complex is located at 21 W. Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville, N.J., the former site of the St. Peter Catholic Church Convent.

Del-Sano Contracting Corporation led the project and included Energy Star certified units and ensured compliance with the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency Green Futures program. All units are equipped with low-flow water fixtures, energy-saving fixtures, sustainable materials and low-VOC products. In addition, waste from construction was recycled at 85 percent.

Del-Sano’s team was led by Mike Petronaci as project manager, John Falzarano as project superintendent and Dave Hriczko, who was responsible for project safety. The team worked with Princeton’s Johnson & Jones Architect Planners Inc. in the conception and architecture of the facility.
