NEW YORK—Blink Fitness, a division of Equinox, has signed an 18,119-sq.-ft. lease at 820 Concourse Plaza in the Bronx. The fitness center will occupy three levels at the property, which totals 60,000 sq. ft. and spans five stories. Randall Briskin, vice president of leasing at The Feil Organization, worked on the deal and represented the ownership internally. Both Bill Miller, vice president of real estate for Blink Fitness, and Peter Levine of Charter Realty represented the tenant.
Owned and managed by The Feil Organization, Concourse Plaza is located at 161st Street at the Grand Concourse in the Bronx and totals approximately 228,000 sq. ft. The center currently includes a movie theater, grocery story and more than 1,200 parking spaces for customers.
The property is currently undergoing a renovation and redevelopment, which will include the creation of new space for retail, restaurant and entertainment tenants.
Located in close proximity to the new Yankees Stadium and the Bronx County Courthouse, the center is easily accessed by public transportation. Recent rezoning of the area has increased the floor area ratio at Concourse Plaza, allowing for the addition of approximately 600,000 sq. ft. of new retail and office space.
