Global Food International Inks Lease to Occupy Times Square Space

NEW YORK—Global Food International has signed a long-term lease to occupy approximately 25,000 sq. ft. on the ground floor and mezzanine level of 11 Times Square. The company plans to open a restaurant at the location, which will feature global cuisine.

Global Food International will occupy half of the retail space available at 11 Times Square, which totals 1.1 million sq. ft. of office and retail space.

Colliers International Vice Chairman James Emden, Senior Managing Director Robert Koslow and Director Dmitry Levkov represented Global Food International Corporation in the transaction. RKF Founder and Chief Executive Robert K. Futterman and Vice President Joshua Strauss represented SJP Properties. SJP Properties is the owner of the building.

Located at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 42nd Street, 11 Times Square is a LEED Gold certified property. Its retail space comprises 15,500 sq. ft. and includes 24-ft. ceilings on the ground floor; 19,000 sq. ft. with 18-ft. ceilings on the second floor; and 18,000 sq. ft. with 18-ft. ceilings in the concourse.

The property offers tenants an elevator dispatch system, large loading dock and mail center. Comprised for 40 stories, 11 Times Square offers proximity to 12 subway lines and the Port Authority’s bus terminal. Grand Central Terminal and Pennsylvania Station are one subway stop away.

SJP will begin build-out of Global Food International Corporation’s space at 11 Times Square this fall, working with HLW International as architect. The restaurant is scheduled to open in 2013.

Global Food International Corporation operates more than 40 restaurants worldwide.
