Havas Takes 260,000 SF in Hudson Square

NEW YORK CITY—Trinity Real Estate and Havas have finalized a 15-year lease for 260,000 sq. ft. of space on Hudson Street, creating an urban corporate campus for the global advertising and communications services group.

Havas will occupy approximately 225,000 sq. ft. on the 2nd through 8th floors at 200 Hudson Street as well as approximately 31,000 sq. ft. on the 9th floor of 205 Hudson Street and 4,000 sq. ft. of storage space at 1 Hudson Square. Havas is part of Hudson Square's expanding roster of creative, media, corporate, arts and nonprofit companies including Viacom, Horizon Media, WNYC New York Public Radio/Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, CBS Radio East, New York Magazine and others.

Originally constructed in 1920, 200 Hudson Street is a 12-story, 370,000-sq.-ft. building that is currently home to Heartbeat Digital, Weiss Manfredi Architects, LLP and 92YTriBeCa, the downtown extension of the world-renowned Jewish cultural, educational and community center. The adjacent 205 Hudson Street is also 12 stories and comprises 401,000 sq. ft.

Trinity was represented by president Jason D. Pizer and Marc Packman as well as Robert Constable and Andrew Peretz of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in the negotiations while Havas was represented by David Falk and Jason Greenstein of Newmark Knight Frank. Nicole Cortese and Ken Sold of Loeb & Loeb were the attorneys representing Trinity Real Estate in the transaction.
