NEW YORK—Nyack College/Alliance Theological Seminary has signed a 20-year, 166,385-sq.-ft. lease at 2 Washington Street in Downtown Manhattan. The school will take occupancy at its new space on May 1 when it relocates from its current space at 361 Broadway. The transition to the new space will span several months.
CBRE’s Gerry Miovski, SVP, and Christopher Mansfield, SVP in the company’s consulting group, worked with Nyack College to find the space, which more than doubles the school’s current space and accommodates its growing student population. Andrea Gendel of Pryor Cashman’s Real Estate Group represented the college in the transaction, while architects Lori Kupfer and Vincent Martineau have completed design for the facility.
Nyack College has two campuses, including a 125-acre residential campus in Nyack, N.Y. and its Manhattan campus. The school’s current Manhattan campus serves nearly 1,500 commuter students with 34 classrooms and labs. Its new space at 2 Washington Street will allow Nyack College to expand its capacity to 60 classroom and labs.
